Fourth piece of the puzzle - Bangor FC
Monday, September 29th, 2008, 8:45 pm
Well, we now have the complete set, oldfootballshirts.com has now signed up to sponsor the home playing kit of Jim McMenamin and the away playing kit of Andrew Plummer, both from Bangor FC in Northern Ireland.
Jim is an experienced Defender having played most of Bangors matches this season.
Andrew graduated from Ipswich Towns academy and moved to Bangor in June 2008, he has featured in all Bangors matches this season.
We’re looking forward to seeing both of them do well, Bangor were promoted to the new JJB Sports Premiership for 2008.
For what it’s worth, I’ve been following Bangor for a little while now, it is fair to say the attraction was really all to do with the Bangor Club Badge, a Seagull!

So come on then, who else has a Bangor shirt to add? Old Bangor FC shirts
And you have to love the IFAs promotional stuff
Oh, and for a bit of fun I am running an Oldfootballshirts.com League table for the 4 teams we now sponsor. Starting from the date we began sponsoring players kits of Brighton, Newport County, Annan Athletic & Bangor FC. The table to date;
| Oldfootballshirts.com Player Sponsorship League table since 13 Sept 08 | ||||||||
| Team | P | W | D | L | F | A | GD | Points |
| Annan Athletic | 3 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 3 | 7 | -4 | 3 |
| Bangor Football Club | 3 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 3 | 9 | -6 | 3 |
| Brighton & Hove Albion | 3 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 3 | 4 | -1 | 2 |
| Newport County | 3 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 3 | 4 | -1 | 2 |
So Annan top the table, on goal difference, but it’s early days yet, plenty of time. At the end of the season the winning team will have the pleasure of oldfootballshirts.com sponsoring the matchball for a game next season.
