Our first kit sponsorship

So, after nearly 2 years we had raised a modest amount of money through www.oldfootballshirts.com so we wondered what to do with it.
We had a chat, over a couple of cold Efes in Ozankôy last week, and now we are the proud sponsors of Scott Chamberlain, well his away kit, for the 08-09 season. So, how come Scott? Well, he’s an up and coming Brighton & Hove Albion player, we’re Brighton fans, and he needed his kit sponsoring.
Scott is a 5’11” midfielder, 20 years old, he made his first team debut in the 2007-8 season coming on as a substitute against Crewe in the 3-0 win for Brighton in February 2008.

We are looking forward to seeing Scott in action sometime this season, perhaps as a sub appearance against Manchester City, or we might have to make it to a few reserve games, either way, he’s “one for the future” as they say, and a long term Brighton player through the clubs youth system.
Looking elsewhere, we also decided that we could stretch to one or two more players, and hit on the idea of a player for each country in the United Kingdom. So we also have sponsored a Newport County player, Craig Hughes, and an Annan Athletic player, Ryan Adamson. We are currently working on an Northern Ireland club player too, watch this space.
